Freedom and relaxation are soon coming to an end for me! Camp at the Y starts tomorrow, and my free time is just about to disappear. I don't want to sound depressing, but it's kinda sad for me! Elissa and I are also starting our running routine tomorrow evening. Gosh I'm going to be exhausted! But, I do get one day off each week and I have the weekends, plus several fun trips this summer. I should NOT be complaining!
The past week has gone by so fast. Each day had a pretty similar schedule. Workout in the mornings, relaxing and doing basically nothing in the afternoons, and training at night! The past weekend has been SO much fun! Conversations with some incredible people, and celebrating my best friend's graduation was definitely amazing. One thing I absolutely love about my friends from church, no matter what happens during the school year, we can ALWAYS pick up right where we left off!
Other eventful things...my favorite little boy in the whole wide world is signed up for camp! When my friend informed me of this yesterday, I couldn't stop smiling! He is an ANGEL and he was six last year, so this year I will actually get to have him in my group! I'm really excited to be back at work. Despite my initial concerns about this summer, I have total confidence that it will be awesome. Camp always has valuable lessons to learn and I'm more than ready! The one big thing I'm not looking forward to? Losing my voice. Singing is my passion, and after last summer I thought I may not be able to sing again. I can be so overdramatic sometimes. I'm fully expecting my voice to begin to disappear starting tomorrow, but at least I know what's coming!
Prayer needs. My cousin Kaitlin is still in Turkey until the 24th. They haven't sent out many updates, but there has been a lot of illness and I have no doubts that she is experiencing that. Please pray for her health and perseverance during this long time away from home. Also, for Jan. She will be in Swaziland on Friday, but not the place she originally thought. Normally that wouldn't be a big deal, but she already told the pastor at the original place that she would be there. In that culture, going back on a promise is a big deal, so please pray that she will find peace and that the pastor will be understanding.
Can't wait to begin updating about camp! Hopefully I can better remember all the funny stories through this blog. Starting tomorrow, I'm a full-time working girl once again! Whoohoo!!
