Icing, sampling, and a new last name!

Where oh where to begin?! It feels like it should be the weekend already, this week has DRAGGED! I'll share three quick stories from my week so far. :)

First, icing. Today at camp, my wonderful friend Christian somehow had icing all over his face, and as one of my old 7 year olds and I pointed and laughed, he proceeded to place his icing-covered face on my face. Evidently, I didn't get all the icing out of my hair either as I discovered just a few minutes ago. This is proof that just because you aren't with the kids all day doesn't mean you won't get messy. Mental note, made.

Second, sampling. My stat class is, interesting. One classmate in particular is extremely hard to love. She is probably the loudest person I have ever heard, and I'm not sure she is aware of it. And she doesn't stop talking, like at all. Part of me pities her, the other 99% of me would love to duct tape her mouth shut during our two hour class period. Lord, teach me to love this girl! As far as the actual class, the material isn't too bad so far. I need to do more homework tonight but it's fairly easy, more like busy work.

Lastly, I received a new last name from my baby, my angel child, my favorite, Kaedyn. He thought my last name was "Efelunk" and now he says it all the time and it has stuck! It's perfect, and he looks so darn cute when he looks up at me and says it. He also reassured me today that none of the other counselors would replace me. Now, 8 year old promises probably aren't the most reliable, but I'll take it!

How much the Lord has taught me this week! Patience, people skills, and humility. Hopefully I receive huge amounts of these as the summer goes on!

In Him,
Jane
