So I feel terrible for not updating my blog. Whenever I want to, I either am way to tired from all the school I have to do, or I just get stuck on facebook. Both are equally common, sadly. I had an amazing weekend! Even though we lost 66 to 28 to ou, the game was still pretty fun. I have never gotten closer to losing my voice! After the game, Courtney and I drove out to Crockett/Grapeland, TX to her house out there. That night we made smores and spent times with her family. Courtney, her mom, and I also watched 27 Dresses for the first time. I absolutely LOVED it! I love the fact that the main character's name was Jane. :D On Sunday, we had a delicious breakfast and went around on the four-wheeler. They have three horses, one of which is Courtney's, 12 cows and 2 donkeys. So we played with the animals for awhile, then shot some hoops. If it weren't for Courtney and Mr. Brake making monkey noises, I SO would've won!
That afternoon when we were driving, we saw TONS of deer. At one point while we were watching some doe at a feeder, a 6 pt. buck stepped out of the woods about 40 feet away from us! It was ridiculously incredible! I loved just watching the doe feed. They heard us and saw us, but they weren't very skiddish and just kept on eating. Eventually we had to start up the four-wheeler and leave, so they ran off when that happened. I just loved being out in God's creation and getting away from all the pressures of school and other things here in College Station.
I get to have ANOTHER getaway this coming weekend! I'm heading up to Waco with some friends for the Baylor vs. A&M game. Sadly, my dad informed me today that they are supposed to win by 8 points....AHHH! I will be so embarassed if we lose, but you know, it doesn't matter. I'm going to spend time with some of my very good friends, and that is all that I care about, win or lose! I feel like I'm drifting from God, so I hope that feeling goes away, considering I have a math test on Wednesday. :/ I got an 88 on my Health test I took last Friday. Can't seem to manage an A on a test in that class, but oh well!
Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight. Pr. 3:5-6
