My last post was when Christmas break was almost here...now it's almost over. Wow, has it been crazy. I will try to sum up most of the big events, and put up some of the main pictures! The beginning was mainly relaxing. Most of my friends weren't home yet, but I got to spend some time with my best friend and write our first official song together. As my friends began to come home, we had lots of fun! Christmas was amazing this year. I got tons of good stuff, but most importantly, a GUITAR! It was totally unexpected too, my family did a very good job of hiding it from me! :) New Year's Eve at Marissa's was a blast. It's so weird to think 2009 is here and another year in my life is behind me. 2008 was an amazing year, involving graduation, a supreme friend, a relationship gone bad, and the best mission trip I have ever been on. It also included the beginning of a new chapter in my life...COLLEGE! I made so many memories, mainly by not missing a SINGLE football game. :) And I ended up the year with a 3.8 GPR!!! Praise the Lord. He brought me so far in my walk with Him this year and I learned so much!
Sadly, the new year brought some harsh realities. One of my best friendships I have ever had with a guy is in big danger of falling apart right now because of my actions. Luckily, it's all out of my hands and I can do nothing more to repair what I've done. At the beginning of the school year, I told myself and others that college would make or break the amazing friendships I developed in high school. That has definitely proven to be true. Reflecting over break, I'm positive I won't lose some of those friends, while others have fallen to the wayside. But God places people in my life to help me grow in Him.
I love the fact that I still have about a week left of break! On Tuesday, I'm heading up to Temple to visit my friends Sarah and Katlyn, which I am really excited about. Oh, and One Tree Hill has started back up again, so LIFE IS GOOD! PTL!! I'm really looking forward to being back in College Station and getting into a routine again. However, I have gotten extremely used to being home, so I know when I first get there next Sunday, the re-adjustment will take time. It's part of my life now, though, so I need to accept that. I've made great memories this break, and written some fabulous songs! I pray that I don't forget how the Lord changed my heart in a matter of hours, and how He was right there when I needed Him. I also pray that I adjust quickly, and rock my classes this semester! To the glory of God forever and ever, I dedicate this semester to HIM!
